HISTORY OF THE CAST NET
the cast net is a type of fishing net that has been used for centuries in different parts of the world. its exact origin is unknown, but is believed to date back to ancient times.
in the iberian peninsula, the cast was already used in roman times for fishing in rivers and seas. fishermen used it to catch fish such as trout, salmon and seas bass.

in the 19th century, the cast net was introduced into latin america, where it become an important tool for artisanal fishing.
